Finally figured out who the ??? is. L. Should have geussed by how complex of a pattern is being weaved.
Finally got a glimpse of him. Human hands making a mask out of clay on the shore of some body of water - maybe lake, maybe ocean. Mask looks primitive for some reason, despite the fact, that it depicts male face with closed eyes and mouth with incredible detail. It is lifelike but somehow primitive. The expression is neutral. After finishing the mask, but before putting into fire, its creator slowly lifts the mask and puts it into water, then begins to slowly move it. Eventually the incredible details begin to fade, and after some time there is just a vague impression of a face left. There is something very unsetteling about it. Creator takes the mask out of the water and puts it into the fire he started on the shore. When the mask is finally hardened, he takes it out, lets it cool down, then takes some sort of paint, and puts three horizontal lines on it - one where mouth was, and one on where each eye was. The mask is done.

Also, there are eyes in the darkness. Not glaring or shining or burning, just many eyes watching. Never seen anything like it. Not sure if they belong to one or many. Not sure what it is.
